DEPOT Unveils Packed Autumn of Events as Venue Evolves
From major touring artists and electronic heavyweights to stand-up comedy, vintage markets and Cardiff institutions, DEPOT has a packed programme of events taking the venue through the final months of 2026.
Cardiff independent venue DEPOT has shared a wide-ranging autumn programme for its Curran Road venue, as the business continues to sharpen its identity as one of the city’s most versatile larger-scale cultural spaces.
Between the rest of September and December, the 30,000 sq ft venue will host everything from major touring rock and alternative acts to electronic music, markets, food events and some of DEPOT’s best-known homegrown event formats.
It comes as DEPOT increasingly establishes its 2,100-capacity venue as an important part of Cardiff’s live music infrastructure: sitting between the city’s grassroots venues and its arenas, and giving promoters access to a flexible mid-sized room capable of accommodating tours which might previously have bypassed Wales.
A home for live music
The shift is particularly visible in DEPOT’s autumn live programme.
Welsh artist Charlotte Church brings the final incarnation of her cult live show, End Times Pop Dungeon, to DEPOT on 20 September, promising a genre-defying collision of live music, rave and performance.
Just three days later, Grammy-nominated metalcore band I Prevail bring their Violent Nature Tour to Cardiff on 23 September with Polaris and Gore, with the DEPOT date already sold out.
October brings one of the venue’s most unusual live experiences when electronic pioneers Autechre perform on 22 October, with their entire headline set taking place in complete darkness.
Following their sell-out summer show at Cardiff Castle, The Streets return to the capital on Friday 6 November, bringing Mike Skinner’s acclaimed live show to much closer quarters.
November then delivers a particularly concentrated run of touring artists. Masked heavy music newcomers PRESIDENT arrive with their first ever, sold out Blood of Your Empire tour on 18 November, followed by Swedish metal band Avatar on 22 November, rock veterans Little Angels on 23 November, and acclaimed South London band Fat Dog on 24 November.
Midge Ure follows on 25 November with the seated A Man Of Two Worlds show, combining music from across his career with instrumental work rarely performed live.
The non-festive December programme includes another significant touring date on 9 December, when indie-rock band The Hunna bring their final tour to Cardiff, marking ten years since debut album 100 before the band go their separate ways.
The run builds on a broader shift in DEPOT’s programming, with the venue increasingly attracting rock and heavy music alongside alternative and electronic artists, without losing the multi-format identity it has built over the past decade.
Club culture remains
Live touring is only one side of the autumn calendar, with DEPOT’s club heritage continuing through an extensive programme of electronic music.
On 19 September, The History of Jungle brings ten DJs and eight MCs to Cardiff, including Grooverider, Dillinja, DJ Hype, Congo Natty and DJ Rap, alongside a supporting line-up of Welsh junglists.
DEPOT’s own long-running Shangri-La brand also has a major run of dates, beginning with Morgan Seatree on 26 September, followed in October by ROSSI on 9 October, Girls Don’t Sync & Benwal on 10 October, Kolter & Jamback on 17 October, Duke Dumont on 23 October and Bullet Tooth on 30 October.
Elsewhere, Worried About Henry x Bedlam brings Hybrid Minds and more to the venue on 16 October, while November sees two of electronic music’s most influential names reunited when Sasha & John Digweed headline an extended Shangri-La session on 14 November.
From night-time venue to all-day event space
The autumn programme also reflects DEPOT’s ability to transform far beyond the traditional gig or club-night format.
Retail and independent traders take centre stage with Fashion Thrift Society Cardiff on 20 September and The Big Cardiff Vintage Flea Market on 4 October, while the Cardiff Gluten-Free Festival returns on 8 November, with the event already sold out.
Meanwhile, homegrown DEPOT staple Bingo Lingo continues throughout September and November, with Oktoberfest specials on 2, 17 and 24 October and two Halloween sessions on 31 October.

“We can have a major touring band here one night, a club show the next, then completely turn the room around for a market or a daytime event. At the same time, we’ve become increasingly serious about the role DEPOT can play as a live music venue for Cardiff.
“There has historically been a gap between the city’s grassroots venues and the big arena shows. With our 2,100 capacity, we can help fill some of that space and make Cardiff a more attractive proposition for promoters and touring artists, while still retaining everything that has always made DEPOT feel like DEPOT.”
From its beginnings as a temporary street-food pop-up in a disused warehouse in 2014, DEPOT has moved location twice, expanded to a 30,000 sq ft home on Curran Road and evolved into a venue spanning live music, club culture, comedy, food and large-scale events.
Its final programme of 2026 suggests that flexibility remains one of its biggest strengths - but increasingly, live music is sitting firmly at the heart of what comes next.
